YOUR WEEKEND GUIDE

Congratulations,  you made it through March and have arrived at the Easter long weekend (the best one of the year). If you haven’t locked in a getaway (hello wild weather & fuel crises), we’ve taken the liberty of planning the perfect Northern Beaches long weekend .

You’re welcome.

YOUR PERFECT LONG-WEEKEND PLANS

Friday

The weather is wet and windy. Take this as your official permission slip reset today so you’re ready to make the most of the weekend when the sun returns.

🧖‍♀️ Start strong by treating yourself to a RCVRI session or sauna.

🍿Finish with a cozy movie afternoon.

If you’re heading to the cinema, The Drama (Zendaya + Robert Pattinson) is getting a lot of buzz and is now showing at Warringah Mall ~it makes for low-effort, high-reward viewing with your SO.

Saturday

Light showers clearing, with proper sunshine on the way. Time to move.

🏃‍♀️ Run a lap (or 3) of Narrabeen Lagoon.

The  cooler weather means running season has officially begun, and the big races are creeping closer:

  • HOKA Half: ~4.5 weeks

  • Sydney Marathon: ~20 weeks

  • UTA 2026: ~6 weeks

🍺🍔 Get your longy in, then refuel and reward with a pub feed (and/or beers).

💄🥂InSitu is also hosting Drag Bingo / Bottomless Brunch in the afternoon.

🎤 Still standing? There’s live music at practically every venue on Saturday night. No planning required, just follow the sound.

Sunday

Wake up early for a long coastal walk (it’s worth it, promise).

🥾Hike the Manly → Dee Why coastal track. It has fared better in the recent storms than Manly → Spit (which will be absolutely packed, avoid!). Soak in the quiet  and feel smug that you beat the crowds. End with coffee.

🍓Head back to Manly in time for the markets (perfect day-date).

  • Manly Fresh Produce Market (The Corso, 8am–2pm)

  • Seaforth Organic Markets (30/38 Ethel St, 8am–12:30pm)

🎸 In the evening, catch the Bands Grand Final (from 6pm at the Steyne). Then head upstairs for a drink to watch the sun set over Manly Beach (sunset is @ 6:54 pm).

A strong finish.

And if that wasn’t enough, here’s everything else you need to know for the weekend ahead…

WEATHER

SPORT

ICYMI

Deadman's went off: A solid swell hit the Northern Beaches over the weekend and Deadman's was the main event, with heavy, maxing-out sets rolling through. If you missed it, your mates' Instagram stories have probably already made that painfully clear.

Warringah Cricket's historic clean sweep: Warringah Cricket Club just pulled off something no club has ever done in Sydney Shires history, winning the first, second, third and fourth grade grand finals in the same season. First grade's premiership was their first in almost 40 years, with Patrick Day taking six wickets and English import Chris Jones scoring a century in the decider.
